ABOUT
Career Overview

My career began during my college years but I have been a creative individual for as long as I can remember. I started working part-time in the graphic design career field as a contractor for the US Navy, while studying to earn a Bachelors of Fine Art degree from St. Mary's College of Maryland. The majority of my employment experience has been working as a Government contractor with a span of time working as a freelance designer.
I am a motivated professional with substantial experience designing for digital, print, and learning management systems. I am inspired by projects that challenge my creativity, offer variety, and provide learning opportunities for continued technical growth.

Downtime

Returning to my fine art roots has expanded my creative interests and motivated me to continue learning new fine art and graphic design techniques. Pen and ink drawings, acrylic paintings, gouache, watercolor, colored pencil, and digital photography projects are essential outlets that provide inspiration to my digital design work.
When I'm not starting a new art project, I enjoy waking up early to read devotionals, spending time with my husband, chatting with our adult children, and volunteering at church, as well as getting together with friends, cooking/baking, gardening, sailing, reading, traveling, and hiking.
Walking our dogs, Bella and Lucy is a favorite daily pastime and I appreciate that they allow me to spend time on their couch with them.
